Hiking in Berchtesgaden is one of the most beautiful forms of locomotion. At least that’s what we think. But than, the Alpine National Park is right on our doorstep. And Ramsau is not without reason Germany’s first mountain climbing village. There are peaks and hiking trails all over. Easy and demanding. There are more than 1,000 kilometers of hiking trails in Berchtesgadener Land, 250 of them in Ramsau. 30 hiking routes start right in front of our house. So: just get out and start walking! What else do you need for your hiking holiday in the Berchtesgadener Land? There is a backpack in every room, we can lend you sticks at the reception. Around the Schmuckenstein
A leisurely hike with a moderate incline from the Hochschwarzeck to the Mordaualm and back on the other side of the Schmuckenstein. An insider tip!
To the Watz-
mannhaus
The Watzmann is the symbol of Berchtesgaden. While its famous east face is reserved for experienced climbers, every normal mountaineer can hike to the Watzmannhaus.
To the Bindalm
Along the glittering Klausbach, with the Reiteralpe in view: this hike offers many wild and romantic views that are typical of the Berchtesgadener Land.
To the Gotzenalm
A bit steep at the beginning. But if you are good on foot and looking for a full-day tour with varied impressions, you will love the hike to the Gotzenalm.
To the Halsalm
On the hike to the Halsalm you can enjoy both the fascination of the sky-high rock walls and the deep view of the Hintersee. It starts right at the Hotel Rehlegg.
To the Blaueishütte
The high alpine hiking tour to the Blaueishütte on the Hochkalter is a must! Depending on the season, you stand on the tongue of the glacier, from which the wild landscape takes its name.
To the Litzlalm
Impressive hike at an altitude of 1,300 meters to the huts of the managed Litzlalm. On the way you even cross the border into Austria.
To the Mordau Alm
and around the Schmuckenstein up to 1191 m altitude. Easy hike either on foot from Rehlegg to Taubensee or by car to the parking lot at Taubensee.
To the Wimbach-
schloss
Particularly beautiful hike to the Wimbachschloss, which is managed, and on to the Wimbachgrieshütte, which is also managed. Start is directly at the Hotel Rehlegg.
To the Stahlhaus
On the border: The Carl-von-Stahl house is located at 1,736 meters altitude exactly between Bavaria and Austria. It is open all year round, except on Christmas Eve.
Through the
Zauberwald (Magicforest)
Dreamy tour with many “magical” impressions: The hike leads past the glacier springs, to the Marxenklamm, through the magic forest and the picturesque Hintersee.
Soleleitungsweg – Ramsauer Höhenweg
If you want to admire the view of Watzmann, Hochkalter, Reiteralpe and the Ramsau valley on a leisurely hike without struggling with many meters of altitude, walk along the former brine pipe in Berchtesgaden Land. You can park at Zipfhäusl and then walk almost flat to the excursion restaurant Gerstreit and on to the Gasthaus Söldenköpfl to Berchtesgaden.
